The Augur is a solo role-playing system based on Ironsworn, a story-driven and fast-paced game with quest-driven mechanics. The difference is that Augur is fully moddable so you can create and share anything you make. It is a great tool for playing solo or preparing for multiplayer games. While it’s made for advanced players, newcomers are welcome to try this and join the system’s official Discord community. 

Create your own world

The Augur is a system for the role-playing game, Ironsworn. Experienced gamers or coders can add their own mods into the system or use this to receive updates from the system’s developer. Updates are content in the form of adventures, tome of foes, bestiaries, lore, world settings, and such. The content is released in PDF format, as well as modules. You will need to load them to run in this RPG. 

In return, it will put a markdown in the system journal. This means you can encase a word or phrase in double asterisks to make the text bold, or just a single asterisk to italicize it. To underline, you must encase the word between two plus symbols. You can also make the font size larger by clicking and dragging the resizer. All updates can be installed by overwriting the installation of this program. 

It’s simple but beginners will need to look up this process with the game’s community. Those that are new to the genre of tabletop RPGs can be overwhelmed by the number of options available but the system is well-made and organized so it is easy to learn. Read in clockwise are the game map, text, character modification, and customizable game mechanics. The 4-window layout makes it easy to navigate, as well as see real-time updates of your mods.
